Virtual Office Visits & Telehealth

At Bishop Eye Center, we’re available to you even when you can’t come to us.

Using new telehealth technology, we’ll be able to see you directly from home, or wherever you are. A virtual office visit can be a convenient alternative to a traditional visit, or help us answer pressing questions and concerns if we cannot see you in person.

Patients who require medically necessary follow-up or are undergoing active management for a particular ocular problem are good candidates for telehealth, but your doctor will make the appropriate decision with your eye health and safety in mind.

If an urgent or emergent condition is identified during a virtual visit, we can transition into an appropriate in-person office visit to continue your care.

Please call Bishop Eye Center at 843-689-3937 for more information or to schedule an appointment.

What to Expect

To join a telehealth video call, you’ll need access to a smartphone, tablet, or computer with a camera. Our staff will confirm this with you in person or on the phone, then send you a secure link to the call via text message or email at the designated time. When you tap or click that link, the video call will open automatically and you’ll be prompted to allow access to your camera and microphone. That’s it! We will join the call shortly. Please see the example video below:
