COVID-19 and Telehealth
A letter from Trey Bishop, MD and Scott Schultz, MD:
UPDATED MAY 14, 2020 - Our office is now open to treat routine, in-person visits as well as urgent and emergent ocular conditions. We have made several changes to help keep everyone safe.
We screen each in-person visit with a medical questionnaire and triage per the American Academy of Ophthalmology guidelines. Additionally, patients are spaced out so that social distancing can be maintained throughout the visit. Accompanying caregivers are limited to one if required and are only allowed if they also pass the medical screen.

Per the latest CDC guidelines, all patients and caregivers are required to wear a cloth mask at all times within the office. Please plan to bring your own if possible. In order to conserve medical grade PPE essential for true front-line providers, we only use such PPE within our office as medically justified on a case-by-case basis. However, all providers within the office wear cloth masks for your safety. Several staff work from home and others are rotating to help with social distancing. Frequent washing of hands, sterilizing of often-touched surfaces, and cleaning of the office is done with utmost care.

We appreciate your understanding and patience as we navigate through these unprecedented times.
